How to become a graffiti artist in 8 quick steps:
- Go out and buy a sketchbook.
- Choose a name that you would like to write and stick to it.
- Bite your favorite artist’s style and tell people that it’s yours; this will brand you as a toy, but it’s okay.
- Don’t evolve your style, and never practice. If people ask why your letters are bad, tell them it is Anti-style.
- After weeks/months of never practicing, buy a bunch of expensive European paint, markers, and an iPhone from your dad’s credit card. Now you’re ready for the streets!
- Find walls that are already painted by a street artist and go over them. They will come looking for you, but remember, clout is clout!
- Now that you have kicked off your career on the streets, it’s time to move to trains! No, wait, you’re too scared to do that. Buy an iPad with a Procreate subscription instead (with your dad’s card, of course) and download pictures of trains.
- Draw your anti-style letters on the train pictures using the newly purchased iPad and screen-print the image in your friend’s studio. Congrats, you can now call yourself a graffiti artist!
