How to become a graffiti artist in 8 quick steps:

  1. Go out and buy a sketchbook.
  2.  Choose a name that you would like to write and stick to it.
  3.  Bite your favorite artist’s style and tell people that it’s yours; this will brand you as a toy, but it’s okay.
  4. Don’t evolve your style, and never practice. If people ask why your letters are bad, tell them it is Anti-style.
  5. After weeks/months of never practicing, buy a bunch of expensive European paint, markers, and an iPhone from your dad’s credit card. Now you’re ready for the streets!
  6. Find walls that are already painted by a street artist and go over them. They will come looking for you, but remember, clout is clout!
  7. Now that you have kicked off your career on the streets, it’s time to move to trains! No, wait, you’re too scared to do that. Buy an iPad with a Procreate subscription instead (with your dad’s card, of course) and download pictures of trains.
  8. Draw your anti-style letters on the train pictures using the newly purchased iPad and screen-print the image in your friend’s studio. Congrats, you can now call yourself a graffiti artist!
